MASTER CRAFTSMAN
Curiosity and perhaps fear felt by humans at the thought of sharing the earth with divine beings. Zemhnia, a land rich in merchants and with a somewhat greedy king, proudly tells how they managed to capture the attention of the Gods.
Rumors about blessings and curses were walking the streets of the villages, between hope and despair, something or someone seemed to be near. For no one it is a secret that the Dark Forest contains hidden treasures, incredible caves with unimaginable resources and most importantly, apparently there lies the great provider. However, it was said that whoever visited it was devoured by its implacable ferocity.
After The Arrival, humans for years tried to capture the attention of the mysterious visitors using trinkets, painting, music, poetry, but nothing seemed to be enough. After numerous attempts, the belief of being blessed faded over time and discouragement took over from day to day.
Farias, a crazy old man, tired of a boring life submerged in routine and lack, with no family and nothing to lose, decided to dare to spend the last chapter of his life exploring the depths of the dreaded Dark Forest. He entered the forest, alone, helpless, hoping to find the divine being that was supposed to be among trees, rivers and beasts. Farias was an old man, already weak, walking at his own pace, observing the wonders of nature. The calm was such that even the most agile predators of the forest let him pass, not feeling threatened by his presence. He walked for days, hungry and cold, until he inevitably collapsed with a great sadness in his eyes. Fallen among the leaves of the forest, just waiting for his death.
Trying to live an adventure in his last days, would that have been crazy? The ground was shaking so hard after a rumble in the sky that it seemed like an earthquake was happening, the trees were swaying from one end to the other and every living thing near Farias fled, only the flight of the birds and the rivers sounding like never before.
Some extremely powerful orange lights began to emerge from the trees and began to fall as if someone was pulling them out, it was impressive what was happening, it was as if nature was molding itself to some kind of surreal dream. Farias tried to get up but he was so weak that he could only observe with amazement a being of colossal size. He did not understand anything. Is this the god that fell from the sky? Byldur slowly approached Farias, trying not to hurt him and brought him some fruits that he had apparently collected.
Many people thought he had died, there was no trace of Farias since his departure. But the truth is that he took refuge in a cave in the confines of the forest, where the great Byldur lay. A special connection arose between them that allowed them to communicate even though they did not speak the same language. Byldur helped him to collect while he used his soul core to give him all kinds of knowledge in a way that only the two of them understood. He showed him from his Core the beginning of the universe, the realm of the Gods and his brothers, especially Taurr and Mishra. It is said that Farias tried to build some crafts for Byldur, for that is what he devoted his whole life to. This motivated the god to provide tools for his beautiful creations. Farias was evolving on his way to becoming a master craftsman, he never thought he would become the forger of a god. Is what I live possible? Farias asked himself over and over again.
Anyway, his past no longer mattered. Farias was proud to have dared to explore the Dark Forest, there he found answers to questions that had never been answered before, for the first time he felt happy and the time had come to share it. Eventually, the old fool returned to Zemhnia, loaded with rich minerals, materials and manuscripts.Old Farias transcribed for days information that no one understood, until he finally took his tools, sat down at his workbench, and without saying a single word began to build something for two days without stopping. A couple of days later, without any rest, before the eyes of the people and after his last breath, he created what he called The Ring of Hope. “Byldur, this is for you.”
No one could believe their eyes. It was a ring like no other, perfectly polished and with a large green stone in the center, it shone so brightly in the sun, it is said that the ring glowed from the farthest distance. Everyone was stunned, speechless to describe the old man’s amazing work. Although, some tell a dark story that this ring contains the old man’s soul in its large green stone. No one knows what really happened, it is only known that the people of Zemhnia began creating jewelry of the highest order in Byldur’s name, a stance that was adopted in the other domains of the land because the writings of Farias describe Byldur’s happiness at seeing his creation. Jewelry making became a ritual that finally attracted the attention of the Gods and now the best master craftsmen prepare to present their beautiful jewelry to them and receive their blessings.
